Elizabethtown (KY) Regional Airport
L.B. Schmidt & Associates, LLC was retained by the Elizabethtown Airport Board in 2005 for the purpose of developing scheduled passenger airline service at the Elizabethtown Regional Airport (EKX).

The project began with a detailed market feasibility study which illustrated the existence of a regional air service market encompassing 23 Central Kentucky counties. The company then worked with the Airport Board to re-brand the airport with a new name, logo and Web site. The project continued with development of regional support by creating the Partnership for Central Kentucky Airline Service, which includes over 200 partners in 23 counties committed to bring airline service to Central Kentucky. More recently, the company has been involved with recruting airlines to EKX and the development of a revenue guarantee strategy to be used as an incentive.

As the project unfolded, L.B. Schmidt & Associates, LLC worked with the Airport Board to develop a project brochure. As part of the marketing and promotion of the project, L.B. Schmidt & Associates, LLC, led the development of the airport's first Web site.
