Luke Schmidt is president of a well-respected, Louisville, Kentucky-based consulting firm and has extensive senior management expertise in public affairs, the beverage and packaging industries, economic development, strategic planning and trade association management.

Luke Schmidt has worked for a global soft drink company, a regional soft drink bottler, served as the founding president of two different trade associations and is a registered lobbyist in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.  As a consultant, he has managed projects in the United States and Europe.

He has worked extensively with executives of major companies and trade groups in North America, Europe and South America, and has spoken to international conferences in cities on each of those continents.  Luke Schmidt has conducted hundreds of interviews on behalf of clients and organizations with media outlets such as USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The New York Times, CNN and major daily papers and trade magazines, radio and television stations nationwide.

Luke Schmidt is a native of Elizabethtown, Kentucky and is a graduate of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas and has served on 10 Boards of Directors and 13 different professional, civic and industry task forces.

Luke Schmidt lives in Prospect, Kentucky with his wife, Sharon and their two golden retrievers.  Their daughter, Margaret, is a recent graduate of the University of Kentucky in Lexington, and their son, Luke Jr., currently attends UK.
