Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation Vision Project
Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation Vision Project
The Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation (RBRC) is a large Atlanta-based trade association which represents the manufacturers of portable rechargeable batteries. The batteries are used in a wide variety of applications, including laptop computers, cordless power tools, cordless telephones, etc.
Members of RBRC include such manufacturers as Panasonic, Sony, Varta and others. RBRC's primary mission is to facilitate the collection and recycling of portable rechargeable batteries in the United States and Canada.
Following many years of success, RBRC's management recognized the need to conduct a strategic assessment of the organization and to establish a vision for the future. RBRC retained L.B. Schmidt & Associates, LLC to conduct the assessment. The project was extensive and included key stakeholder interviews across the U.S. and Canada. The project concluded with a two-day retreat which included the organization's senior management and Board of Directors on Maryland's Eastern Shore.
