Tackling complex environmental issues is one our specialties – especially in the area of recycling. Luke Schmidt brings 33 years of experience in developing recycling programs. Luke chaired a statewide initiative in 1980 which included Kentucky’s soft drink bottlers, beer wholesalers and food retailers which produced the Commonwealth’s first statewide beverage container recycling system. This system was duplicated in eight other states, including Florida.
Later, as the President/COO of the National Association for PET Container Resources (NAPCOR), Luke worked with local recycling and environmental officials throughout the United States and Canada in establishing PET plastic container recycling programs. Collection systems and supporting communications projects were established in almost every state and Canadian province.
We work closely with our clients to develop strategies which will provide effective solutions. We worked with a San Diego-based client to establish an end use market for the company’s ultracapacitors in Europe. We assisted a client in Columbus to assure that the labeling on its packaging was in compliance with environmental regulations in California, Hawaii and Maine. We also assisted a large national trade association based in the Washington, D.C. area by developing a recycling manual for its members to use with local communities.
