L.B. Schmidt & Associates, LLC (LBS&A) was recently selected by a regional airport board for the purpose of facilitating the establishment of scheduled commercial airline service.

The initial phase of the project will involve extensive market research.  This will include a complete analysis of the airport’s 23-county service region and a major military base which is located within the region.  The project will establish projections for potential enplanements and will illustrate to the airport board whether or not a potential market for scheduled commercial airline service exists.

L.B. Schmidt & Associates, LLC (LBS&A) has finished work on an extensive document on plastics recycling for a large Washington, D.C.-based trade association.  The purpose of the document is to provide significant background information on recycling which can be used by the association’s members during their routine course of business.

The project included an analysis of plastic recycling in the United States, including local collection methods such as curbside and drop-off recycling.  The project also included information on the top 25 metropolitan recycling programs in the U.S.

L.B. Schmidt & Associates, LLC has completed an assignment on behalf of one of its clients, a major Connecticut-based U.S. consumer products company.

The assignment included an examination of current plastic recycling systems and statistics throughout the United States.  In addition, the assignment also included the development of corporate media talking points on a variety of related issues.

L.B. Schmidt & Associates, LLC (LBS&A) has completed an extensive analysis of the U.S. solid waste disposal system on behalf of one of its clients, a large European manufacturer.

The analysis was completed in anticipation of the introduction of new technology by the client into the U.S. marketplace.  The analysis included research into landfill capacities in all 50 states and included site visits to a number of facilities throughout the U.S.  In addition to compiling data on existing landfill capacity, LBS&A also reviewed projections regarding landfill useful life spans in order to draw conclusions as to which parts of the country might soon run out of landfill space.
